Acoustic Ceilings
With extensive experience in all types of specialty ceilings, Baytek’s able to take on complex systems with ease. Baytek has been involved in a number of design build projects throughout the years, however our team was introduced to immersive design collaboration during construction of one of the first IPD projects in Canada, Mosaic Centre. Through workshops and Big Room sessions, we learned new techniques that have been applied to other projects. Pull planning has been widely adopted by many of the current projects to help achieve the project schedule. Lean construction practices were in their infancy, but have been developed into principles that find a number of small efficiencies to benefit the whole. During both the Mosaic Centre (IPD), and Royal Alberta Museum (Design Assist on Design Build), Baytek used Target Value Design to suggest solutions that not only are cost efficient but also help in other aspects of the buildings.
